How all this came about....rules and more
This website was an idea in the making. I've seen only two others and I'm not sure how or where they went to create their pages...but...I thought that I would make mine with my own style and fun.
I own Ratsalot Rattery and Rescue in Vermont. I have my own website that describes much about me and my rattery and rescue. It has lots of information for new and old rat owners alike. It shows others the rats I have available, previous litters and my rescue rats available for adoption.
I want to have fun with the animals I truly love and I really thought that a dedicated photo ONLY website would be great! I have links to the orginal place it all started on Yahoo. Fact is they don't give you a heck of alot of options or space. So I thought hmmmm...what can I do to create something fun. You can sign up for my newsletter which can keep you informed of when photos are due, remind you to vote and other things. On Yahoo we have chat options etc. so I won't be adding that here.
So here I am. I hope that everyone enjoys the pictures that they see. This is for fun but if you have photographic background so be it. But in many cases...poor lighting, blurred fur and nose shots are fun just the same.hehe... I don't claim to be a photographer by far so let's enjoy the cute candids we see.
I will allow you to vote as much as you like. You can submit one photo per month. All photos need to be in by the 20th as this insures that I can have it up on the site for a few days of voting. Voting also ends the last day of the month. I am NOT positive but I think I am only allowed ten photos. Not sure..so we will play it by ear. I will accept ten photos first come first serve basis. I will try to post more. If I can not your photo that you submitted will be put onto the next month's contest. Also do make sure I have your email address when submitting correct, your name and rattie(s) name also. I will post a winners page and email you with your prize winnings. They will vary month to month. I love suggestions. I will have numerous fun things, labels, buttons, magnets, business cards, personalized items, hammocks, gift certificates, treats and others.
